CPChem was recently celebrated and acknowledged for receiving 11 safety awards from the Texas Chemical Council (TCC) for excellence in safety and operational performance.
Our Borger, Pasadena, Port Arthur, Cedar Bayou, and Sweeny, Clemens & Old Ocean facilities were all recognized with Caring for Texas Awards for their continuous improvement efforts in community awareness, emergency response, security and pollution prevention. Additionally, these facilities were celebrated for their strong commitment to the safety of our employees and communities.
The TCC Board of Directors established the TCC Safety Awards Program to promote and celebrate the continual improvement of safety performance by TCC member companies. CPChem’s Conroe and Orange facilities were recognized with a Zero Incident Award, as both facilities accomplished no OSHA recordable injury or illness in 2023. Both facilities were also awarded the Dr. Sam Mannan Award, which is presented to sites with no Tier 1 or Tier 2 incidents in 2023.
“We congratulate the 2024 TCC Award winners for their remarkable efforts in safety performance. These awards are a testament to our commitment to the safety of our employees, contractors and the communities where we operate. We are proud of our teams’ hard work and dedication to safety excellence,” said Elliott Johnson, SVP, EHSS&E.
