30 Students Receive Chevron Phillips Chemical’s 2016 Dependents' Scholarship

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (May 9, 2016) Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) has awarded its 2016 Chevron Phillips Chemical Dependents' Scholarships. The annual scholarship program, which offers scholarships to employees' dependents across the company, awarded 30 scholarships this year.

"We are proud of all our recipients for their personal achievements both inside and outside the classroom,"" said Bryce Hallowell, public affairs manager for Chevron Phillips Chemical. "These students are already making a positive impact in their communities, and we look forward to their continuing contributions and leadership in the future."

During the scholarship selection process, the academic records of eligible high school and college seniors are carefully reviewed, as well as students' leadership and participation in school and community activities, special honors, work experience, stated goals and aspirations, and unique personal or family circumstances. Scholarship applicants are also asked to provide recommendations from their advisers, teachers or employers.
