The Woodlands, Texas - (November 21, 2016) - Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) today announced the results of its 2016 United Way campaign. When employee donations are combined with the company's matching gift, the campaign total was a record $1.2 million, which will be distributed to United Way chapters in Texas, Oklahoma and other company locations across the country.

"These financial contributions, combined with the thousands of hours our employees volunteer in these programs, ensure that the United Way can make a real difference in our communities."

In addition to raising funds, Chevron Phillips Chemical employees participated in United Way Day of Caring, partnering with various United Way agencies to assist with facility restorations, food drives and repair work. "Once you see the impact and get to know the people you're helping, your perspective is forever changed," said Ron Corn, Senior Vice President, Projects & Supply Chain at Chevron Phillips Chemical. "You see and meet the people who are directly impacted and helped by the individual donations of our employees, and the matching gifts from the Company."
Most recently, three of Chevron Phillips Chemical departments assisted the Crisis Assistance Center in Montgomery County with a food drive and facility updates. "We are so grateful for volunteers serving our clients through the Days of Caring program. Having a well maintained facility and a plethora of products is crucial for our organization to better serve our clients within the community in a crisis situation," said Charles Venezia, Facility Maintenance Manager and Programs Assistant of Crisis Assistance Center.
Since the Company's inception in 2000, Chevron Phillips Chemical has invested more than $24 million in the communities where we operate. In addition, the company and employees have contributed hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours, as well as in-kind contributions of equipment. In 2015, employees across 13 facilities volunteered approximately 21,000 hours in their local communities.
