Chevron Phillips Chemical Recognized as Responsible Care® Company of the Year by American Chemistry Council

Responsible Care is the chemical manufacturing industry’s environmental, health, safety and security performance initiative.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS - (June 7, 2016) - Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) is proud to announce it was named Responsible Care® Company of the Year among large companies by the American Chemistry Council (ACC). The award is presented each year to companies that demonstrate outstanding achievement and leadership in environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) performance.

Companies that compete for the Responsible Care® Company of the Year award must meet or exceed Responsible Care® performance requirements including: safety ratings in the top 10 percent of equally sized companies; no significant safety incidents in the previous year; sustained superior accomplishment in the areas of transportation safety, process safety and emissions reduction; as well as improvements in EHS&S performance, product stewardship, distribution safety and emergency preparedness.
