Most Synfluid® PAOs are NSF H1 and HX-1 registered, making them suitable for incidental food contact in food processing environments. They can be used as anti-rust films, release agents on gaskets or seals, and lubricants for machine parts where food exposure is possible. Use should be limited to the minimum amount needed for effectiveness. If applied as an anti-rust film, the product must be removed to ensure no residue remains on surfaces that may contact food. In addition, they may be used as components of nonfood articles intended for use in contact with food, pursuant to the provisions of 21 CFR 178.3620(b)(1). Synfluid® PAOs also meet the Food and Drug Administration technical white oils specifications as described in 21 CFR 178.3620(b)(1).
