Tom Malinski, also known as Dr. Tom, received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bloomsburg University in 2014 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University in 2020. Tom joined Chevron Phillips Chemical that same year and spent five years as a chemist and team lead for the PAO Research and Development team at CPChem.
Tom earned his current role as the Americas PAO Business Development and Technical Services Manager in 2025. In this position, he provides technical support for CPChem’s PAO customers worldwide.
He has authored nine academic papers and articles relating to polyalphaolefins, holds multiple patents, and is an active member of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), where he serves on the Education Committee.
